The latest episode of the Tim Ferris show might be one of my favourites; it’s an interview with John Romero, the creator of Wolfenstein, Quake and Doom. As part of a small team, he shipped 14 games within 12 months of starting up; games that proved to be ground-breaking. It’s fascinating to listen to how they achieved this level of cadence. Lack of prototypes, building from point of view, and following intuition played a big part. Good listen!
